I wish you wood….

Wood is a lovely material. It’s beautiful, it’s easy to work with, it’s a good entry point for beginners, imho.

But making things from scratch means an excess of wood scraps. Some scraps are simply too small to make anything out of (furniture-wise, anyway). Lots of people/places just toss all of these. (Lowkey, having my own wood chipper would be DOPE because I could use it for composting.) But scraps can be an excellent material for making lots of fun, beautiful, interesting projects.

So let’s explore some things you can do with scrap wood.

This first one is literally just tons of pieces of scrap wood that I glued to a piece of 1/8” ply, and framed. Not gonna lie, it’s heavy. But I really love how all the different scrap pieces look.
